Our Story

We make beautiful, hand-crafted furniture and speciality lumber using trees sourced from the cities and forests of Southern Wisconsin.

Baraboo Woodworks began as a small farm sawmill near the Baraboo River in Sauk County, Wisconsin. While Baraboo remains our namesake, we put down our roots on Madison’s east side, an urban area rich with trees that need to be shepherded into new life.

Baraboo Woodworks uses local hardwood trees, and employs talented Wisconsin furniture makers. We care about the communities where we live and work, and we’re proud to be part of an emerging local economy where once again we have the opportunity to know exactly where our products come from, and have a relationship with the people who make them.
